This very special necklace was recently purchased by a discriminating buyer for it's qualities of color and design for inclusion in a special collection. The piece is composed of overlapping strands of gemstones, including cherry quartz and mookaite in addition to many others of comparable color ranges; freshwater pearls; Czech and French pressed glass pieces. The faint lines you see are matching color threads which adorn the ends of the strands lending a very ethereal look to the necklace. The center piece on the neck row is a piece of vintage French "pate verre" purchased by the artist in Paris some years ago. The artist will make similar necklaces in various color schemes at prices beginnng at $500. |

Each necklace in this group of commissioned pieces was made with charms found in the collectors jewelry box. She had saved them all to be able to bequeath them to her children. In the meantime she wanted to be able to wear them and enjoy them NOW. There were 7 necklaces in the entire series. The remaining 2 were each made out of large Mexican silver pins and other charms. Some of these necklaces are on beaded strands composed by the artist and others used simple chains owned by the collector or contributed by the artist. The religious medals were hung on the collector's old rosary beads. |
